KILLINGS: Gowon demands arrest of Miyetti Allah leaders
Former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (retd.), on Saturday said that he was sad and disappointed with the way the current threatening security situation in the country is being handled. He said that “security agencies should invite and question the leadership of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore who had threatened to unleash violence on Benue State and later justified the killings and their roles.” The former head of state, who cautioned that if nothing urgent is done to address the security situation in the country that it could lead to a religious war, also called on President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to make more efforts to tackle the insecurity in Nigeria.
