PHONE CALL WHILE DRIVING: Woman Rams Into Fellow Church Member, Kills Her Instantly

A woman identified as Obiageli Ezeanowiyi is currently being investigated by operatives of the Lagos State Police after she reportedly rammed into her fellow church member, killing her instantly.
According to Vanguard Newspaper reports, the accident occurred while Ezeanowiyi was driving and making a phone call at Jakande Estate junction at Oke-Afa, Isolo, close to St. Peters’ Catholic Church, where both of them worshipped.
An eyewitness quoted by the Newspaper confirmed that Ezeanowiyi lost control of the car and killed the victim, known as Madam Chichi, who was on her way to church.
The source said: “The deceased, who ran a popular ‘joint’ at Isolo, was going for Sunday Adoration Service when the incident happened.
“It was while at Jakande Junction, waiting to get a tricycle that will take her to the church that Mrs. Obiageli, who was driving her Nissan Pathfinder SUV, ran into her and killed her instantly.”
Vanguard reports that the mother of three hailed from Mbano in Imo State.
Her remains have been taken to Isolo mortuary for autopsy report, while Obiageli has been detained after reporting herself to the Police.
Confirming the story, the spokesperson for Lagos State Police Command, DSP Chike Oti, said the incident took place at Jakande Estate Junction, Oke-Afa, Isolo, close to St. Peters’ Catholic Church.
He added that “the suspect, Obiageli, is in Police custody and investigation is still ongoing. “The suspect will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.”

Police arrest Nigerian pharmacy student for drug smuggling in India, recover 15.56grams of heroin.

The anti-narcotics cell of Panchkula in Haryana, India have arrested a Nigerian student for allegedly supplying heroin to drug peddlers.   The 29-year-old Nigerian national identified as Nwosu Echezoma, alias Amaica, was arrested on Sunday, February 12, 2023.  Heroin weighing 15.56 gm was also recovered from the accused, who is pursuing BPharma from a college in Mullana, Ambala, said police His arrest came on the disclosure of Surajpal Singh, alias Robin, 34, a resident of Zirakpur, who was caught with 8.78 gm heroin near Amartex showroom on February 9, 2023.  Singh was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and taken on two-day police remand. During interrogation, he revealed the source of the drugs, leading to Nwosu?s arrest. "The Nigerian national used to source drugs from Delhi and supplied them in and around Ambala.
